About the Journal

The College of Law Journal is a peer‑reviewed academic publication dedicated to the advancement of legal scholarship, critical analysis, and informed discourse on contemporary and traditional issues in law. The journal serves as a platform for academics, legal practitioners, policymakers, and postgraduate students to disseminate high‑quality research that contributes to the development of legal theory, practice, and reform.

The journal publishes original research articles, review essays, case notes, legislative commentaries, and book reviews covering a broad range of legal fields, including but not limited to constitutional law, criminal law, commercial and corporate law, international law, human rights law, environmental law, jurisprudence, customary law, and law and technology. Interdisciplinary works that engage law in relation to social sciences, humanities, governance, and public policy are also welcomed.

Committed to academic rigor and ethical publishing standards, the College of Law Journal employs a double‑blind peer‑review process to ensure the quality, originality, and integrity of all published submissions. The journal encourages scholarship that addresses local, regional, and global legal challenges, with particular attention to issues affecting developing and transitional legal systems.

The journal is published by the College of Law as part of its mandate to promote research excellence, legal education, and knowledge dissemination. It is intended to support teaching, learning, and policy engagement while fostering intellectual exchange within and beyond the legal academic community.
